know why im so happy?
that's because i finally donated blood!
it's like a miracle to me!
at first, i was just accompanying my friend there to donate.
then on the spot, i just decided to give it a try again...
so as usual, went through all the stations.
station 1: fill in the form
station 2: check NRIC and form
station 3: see doctor- take temperature, blood pressure, answer doctor's questions
station 4: test blood- finger prick and to see if can donate (usually at this station, i always get rejected coz ive got not enough iron in my blood and hence, cant donate)
station 5: DONATE BLOOD!
my friend couldnt donate coz the doctor said she's running a fever (maybe because she was wearing jacket).
i totally understand how she feel lor!
so left me alone, and i was just trying to see if i can.
if can, that would be good!so when i was at station 4 to test my blood, my blood didnt sink in the chlorine water (if it doesnt sink, means cant donate coz not enough iron).
so i thought i cant donate again.
then they use some digital device to check (if it's above 12.5 then can donate).
i sat there waiting for the results and the person said i can donate!
u dont know how elated i was! (coz out of 7 times i tried, i only manged to donate twice)
my haemoglobin level was just nice 12.5.proceeded to the bed there to donate.
and within 15min, everything was done!woohoo!
but dont know why, this time it was a little pain when they poked the needle.
thank God this time i was alright. didnt have any fainting spells!
